Stephen C. Vogt, Pharm.D., CEO and Founder of BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy, is a respected clinical pharmacist with 36 years of experience. After earning a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Mercer University, he completed an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) post-doctoral residency at Florida Hospital in the specialty of Metabolic Support. Dr. Vogt, one of the first pharmacists to be recognized as a Board Certified Nutrition Support Pharmacist, is now a sought after speaker in the fields of specialty pharmacy and leadership and authors a weekly specialty pharmacy blog. He co founded InfusionCare one for the first national intravenous homecare company’s that became an Avon Healthcare company. Because of that profile he was instrumental in helping craft the legislation Congress to provide funding for TPN and was an advisor for the PENTAC committee .

Dr. Vogt’s is the founder of BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy, which is a national provider of specialty pharmacy services for tens of thousands of patients facing cancer, multiple sclerosis, hepatitis C, and other complex or chronic health conditions. BioPlus has introduced many programs to improve the specialty pharmacy experience, such as RxExpress, an innovative system that shortens the time gap for patients from seeing the physician to starting on their specialty medicines. In addition, BioPlus created a secure mobile platform called RxCommunicator that opens the door to the specialty pharmacy, letting physicians track their patients’ prescription process in real time, all while keeping patient data secure and HIPAA-compliant.

Dr. Vogt was awarded the Health Care Stars! Award as Technology Innovator of the Year from URAC, a leading health care accreditation organization, in 2012. He was also a finalist in the 2013 Entrepreneur of the Year award (health care category) by Ernst & Young. He serves on the board of directors for ProHealth Medical. In addition, Dr. Vogt is involved with and supports many charitable causes, being on the board of directors for the Central Florida American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure, as well as involved with American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and Bike MS (a fundraiser for multiple sclerosis). As a Trustee of First Baptist Orlando, Dr. Vogt holds a trusted position in his community. He is also a grandfather of four.
